Samara Weaving is an Australian actress and model. Born on February 23, 1992, the 28-year-old is the niece of actor Hugo Weaving

Like many Aussie actors before her, Weaving was part of the long-running Australian soap-opera, Home and Away.

She has since made appearances in movies like Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri; and Guns Akimbo; and is set to star in the upcoming movies Bill & Ted Face the Music and Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins.

She also recently starred in the Netflix drama miniseries, Hollywood

7. Niece of Actor Hugo Weaving

Samara comes from a family of artists, with her father, Simon Weaving, being a filmmaker, and her mother, Helena Bezzina, being an art therapist.

But perhaps the most recognizable of her family members is her uncle, the British-born Australian actor, Hugo Weaving. He is known for playing Agent Smith in The Matrix trilogy, Elrond in The Lord of the Rings movie franchise, V in V for Vendetta, and Red Skull in Captain America: The First Avenger and the Avengers franchise.            

6. Played Claire Wood in Hollywood

Samara recently starred as in the Netflix drama miniseries, Hollywood. She played Claire Wood an aspiring actress and the professional rival of Camille Washington (played by Laura Harrier).

The series premiered on May 1, 2020, and centered around a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers during the golden era of Hollywood as they do everything in their power to get noticed.

The show is helmed by an ensemble cast featuring actors like Darren Criss, David Corenswet, Holland Taylor, Jeremy Pope, Dylan McDermott, Jake Picking, and Joe Mantello.     

5. Starred alongside Daniel Radcliffe in Guns Akimbo

Weaving also recently starred in the 2019 action-comedy movie, Guns Akimbo, starring Daniel Radcliffe -- of Harry Potter fame.

Weaving played Nix, the abducted girlfriend of Radcliffe's character, Miles -- who must use his newly-acquired fighting (and killing skills) in a race against time to save.

The movie opened to a lukewarm reception, but critics were quick to point out its replay value.     

4. Set to Star in Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins

As Weaving continues to establish herself, she finds more blockbuster roles like the one she landed in the upcoming sci-fi action movie. Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins. 

Set in the G.I. Joe universe, the movie is set to be a reboot and the third movie in the franchise. following G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) and G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013).

Weaving is set to play one of the protagonists, Scarlett, in the movie. Currently, the movie is in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2020.

On March 10, 2019, Samara announced to her 728k-plus followers on Instagram that she was engaged to the creative producer, Jimmy Warden.

She announced her betrothal with a photo of her sapphire engagement ring with the caption,

Samara also appeared in the acclaimed 2017 black comedy-drama movie, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, playing Penelope.

The highly-acclaimed movie, featuring an ensemble cast including Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, and Peter Dinklage, among others, was nominated for six Academy Awards, winning two, one each for McDormand and Rockwell, for their starring and supporting performances, respectively.
