As writer, she had written a screenplay for the film version of Postcards From The Edge for which she had nominated a BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Carrie Frances Fisher was born on 21st October 1956 in Burbank, California, United States. She belonged to white ethnicity with the birth sign of Libra.

Talking about Carrie's family, she was the only child of Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Her mother was an actress and his father was a singer. Her parents got divorced when she was two years old. Her Father married actress Connie Stevens and from that relation, she has two half-sisters.

From a young age, she was interested in reading books her family used to call her a bookworm. She mostly spent her time reading Classic literature and writing poetry. Fishers attended Beverly Hills High School. At a young age, she worked as an actress and singer in the hit Broadway revival Irene in which her mother had a main role when she was 16 years old.

She was to be appeared on the episode of 8 out of 10 Cats and her flight was on 23rd December 2016 from London to Los Angeles where she suffered a medical emergency fifteen minutes before the aircraft landed and was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center where she was placed on a Ventilator.

She died on 27th December 2016 and her daughter Billie Lourd confirmed the cause of death due to cardiac arrest in a statement to the press. Many of her co-stars and directors from Star Wars and other works also shared their thoughts on her funeral.
