As being an actor she is known for portraying Princess Leia in Star Wars film franchise for which she was nominated for four Saturn Awards. As writer, she had written a screenplay for the film version of Postcards From The Edge for which she had nominated a BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
