As being an actor she is known for portraying Princess Leia in Star Wars film franchise for which she was nominated for four Saturn Awards. For her role on 30 Rock and Catastrophe, she was nominated twice for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. As writer, she had written a screenplay for the film version of Postcards From The Edge for which she had nominated a BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
