David was also a painter and artist. Back in 1990, one of his paintings was sold at auction for $500. Back in the 1960s, he appeared in an ad for the British ‘Pop Ice Cream’ band Luv. Later in 1987, Pepsi partnered with David for a short sport in which Bowie was a mad scientist who creates Tina Turner. In the mid-1980s he appeared in the ad for the National Coffee Association.
