7. Plays the Dickinson Family Matriarch in Apple+ Series Dickinson

Jane's most recent turn finds her playing the Dickinson family matriarch, Emily Norcross Dickinson, in the Apple+ period-comedy-drama series, Dickinson.

Based on the life and the struggles of the American poet Emily Dickinson (played by Hailee Steinfeld), the series also stars Toby Huss, Adrian Enscoe, Anna Baryshnikov, and Ella Hunt, among others.         

6. Was Engaged to Robert Godley and Has a Son By Him

Jane was engaged to English fashion designer Robert Godley from 2009 to 2013, during which Jane bore a child with Godley. Their son Bennett Robert Godley was born in April 2011.

Despite having a child together, their relationship could not progress to matrimony. On the contrary, their engagement was called off and they called it quits in 2013.
