43-year-old Dorit Kemsley and her husband Paul live in a huge Beverly Hills villa, which is co-owned with Paul's business partner Sam Nazarian. The mansion has been on and off the market for more than two years. Initially, in 2017, the house was listed for $12.75 million, while, as of now, the asking price is reduced to $7.499 million. 

Similarly, the couple bought a modern farmhouse for $6.475 million in Encino, Los Angeles, California, in August 2019. The estate boasts three-car garage, open concept floorplan, and pool and spa. 

Though the reality star teased about the new home on the show, Celebrity Insider claims that the couple might not have been able to buy the property because of their ongoing money problem.  

Bankruptcy 

In 2012, Dorit Kemsley and her spouse filed for bankruptcy, hoping to clear their Vegas debts. It was disclosed that Paul gambled $3.6 million at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas in August 2018.     

Meanwhile, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was taken to court by her ex-business partner Ryan Horne, who filed a lawsuit against her bikini suit company. As per the lawsuit, Ryan claimed that he gave between $200,000 to $205,000 to the pair to start the business.  

Ryan stated that he spent $130,000 in merchandise and $75,000 for other products. Moreover, he also said the fashion designer sold the bikini at a huge profit but did not pay him even a small amount of money.

On the other hand, the Kemsleys revealed that he was hired as a vendor and not a business partner. The pair also accused him of a reason behind facing a loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales because of late delivery. 

The duo, after that, filed a case to Horne for the damages or lost profits; however, the case is yet not resolved. 

Tax Issue

Dorit and her husband faced tax charges around $1 million from 2014 to 2016 for not paying tax bills. The first tax liens were filed against the Kemsleys couple after not being able to pay $635,887.23 in 2015. 

Additionally, the second charge was only for Paul for not paying $289,423.67 in 2014 and 2016. Altogether, the combined debt of the two lines was $925,310.90.

Dorit Kemsley was born on July 16, 1976, in Woodbridge, Connecticut, the United States to Shalom Lemel; the identity of her mother is not revealed.  

Kemsley is a graduate of Quinnipiac University.

Dorit has been married to English businessman Paul Kemsley since 2015. The couple shares two children, a daughter, Phoenix Kemsley, and the son, Jagger Kemsley.
