    He had considerably more debt than assets, owing card debts to Citibank of $15,300. Similarly, he also used Chase credit cards and racked up $14,381 in card debt. He also had $17,430 in card debt owed to American Express and $3,557 owed to Capital One.

    After filing for bankruptcy, the judge signed a discharge on his Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which meant a trustee would divide his non-exempt assets to the creditors, and he would not have to pay the rest of the debt.

    Hutchinson’s only source of income was his residuals that brought him around $1,857 a month on average of passive income.

    Doug’s film career began when he took a minor role in the 1988 film, Fresh Horses. The same year he worked on the film The Chocolate War as Obie Jameson. In 1992, the film The Lawnmower Man came out in which he had a minor role. 

    After a short hiatus, he returned to the big screen with two films, A Time to Kill and Love Always in 1996. He played in two other films, Con Air starring Nicolas Cage and “Batman & Robin” the next year, in 1997.

    He played the role of one of the antagonists on The Green Mile in 1999. He went on to be nominated for Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for his work on the film.

    In 2000, he played minor roles on Shaft and Bait. The next year, I Am Sam came out starring Sean Penn and Dakota Fanning, the film garnered widespread critical acclaim all over the world.

    Doug Hutchison was born on May 26, 1960, in Dover, Delaware, the U.S. to Deloris Hutchison and Richard Hutchison. He went to Bishop Foley High School and Apple Valley High School from where he graduated in 1978.

    After graduating from high school in 1978, he enrolled at the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis-St Paul and Juilliard School.

    Controversy For Marrying An Underage Girl

    Hutchison taught an acting class where he met Courtney Stodden, who was underage at the time. Then he married Stodden on May 20, 2011, when Stodden was only 16 years old.

    He is 34 years older than her, and he was rightfully and heavily criticized worth his agent and family all left him. After getting married in 2001, they appeared on VH1’s Couples Therapy, where they tried to work out the problems in their relationship.

    They split for a while in 2014 and announced the pregnancy of their first child together in May 2016. However, the couple suffered a miscarriage soon after.

    Rumors of their split started resurfacing in January 2017, Courtney Stodden filed for divorce in March 2018 and the divorce was finalized in January 2020.

    His marriage to Courtney was his third marriage. Before this, his first wife was Kathleen Davison to who he was married from 1999 to 2002. He was also married to Amanda Sellers from 2003 to 2005.
