Connor Swindells is an English former-boxer-turned-model-turned-actor. The 23-year-old native of East Sussex is most known as the high-school bully, Adam Groff, in the acclaimed Netflix teen-drama-comedy series, Sex Education.                      

Coming off of a highly successful sophomore season, Sex Education has been renewed for a third season, which sees Swindells reprising his role.

7. Plays Adam Groff In Netflix Teen-Comedy-Drama Sex Education         

Considering Adam made his professional debut in 2015, the fact that he landed such a prominent role as Adam Groff in the hit Netflix teen-dramedy speaks volumes about his preternatural abilities as an actor.   

In Sex Education, Adam Groff is the son of the headmaster, and a school bully- especially against Ncuti Gatwa's character, Eric.       

Joining Connor and Ncuti as part of the ensemble cast are Asa Butterfield Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey, and Kedar Williams-Stirling, to name a few.    

6. His Relationship With His Real-Life Father

In the show Sex Education, Connor has a troubled relationship with his father, Michael (played by Alistair Petrie). Part of his tyrannical streak can be attributed to his conflict with his father. 

Contrary to his relationship with his on-screen father, Connor actually has a good relationship with his real-life father. He, of course, has small familial disputes, but not in the same vein as his turbulent relationship with his father in the show.      

5. In A Relationship With Sex Education Co-Star, Aimee Lou Wood 

In another instance of life imitating art, Connor - who was in an on-screen relationship with Aimee Lou Wood's character, Aimee Gibbs, in the first season of Sex Education - took his romance with Aimee Lou Wood off-screen.  

They took cues from their Sex Education characters and began dating in real life. They went public with their relationship in September last year, coinciding with Connor's birthday, via Aimee's Instagram.       

4. Connor Is Only 23 Years Old

Connor's mainstream status belies his still-young age. Born on September 19, 1996, Connor only turned twenty-three last September.      

During his 23 years, he has dabbled in boxing and modeling before making his foray into acting. 

3. Appeared Opposite Gerard Butler In The Vanishing

Before Sex Education, there was The Vanishing. Up to that point, his biggest mainstream role, Connor shared screen-time with the Hollywood mega-star Gerard Butler, among others, in the 2018 psychological-thriller movie, The Vanishing.     

In the movie, Connor played Donald McArthur, one of three lighthouse keepers around whom the movie is based.
