His Dark Materials is a fantasy drama series released on 3 November 2019. The series premiered on HBO and instantly became a fan favorite, in fact, many fans of the HBO network have touted the show to fill the fantasy void left by the end of Game Of Thrones.

Slowly realizing that she is part of a story bigger than she first thought, Lyra discovers that she is a child of prophecy and everything, even her parents’ death is linked with the war against celestial powers in their multi-verse.
The main character on the show is Lyra Belacqua, played by Dafne Keen. She is the central character on the show, which kicks things into motion. Keen is capable of convincing audiences that she is a troubled youth fighting against her demons and celestial powers alike.
Lyra's dead mother, Marisa Coulter, is played by Ruth Wilson. She projects power and the adventurous nature of the character as she is in the books.
The main character’s father is played by the incredible James McAvoy, who portrays the explorer and scholar with class.
The Master of Jordan College is played by Clarke Peters, who is kind of a father figure to the orphan Lyra and the head of the Jordan College.
Will Parry (played by Amir Wilson) is the boy with the Subtle Knife, a knife able to cut windows between realms, his story later intertwines with the main lead’s.
The Magisterium is also important to the story, and Ariyon Bakare’s character Lord Carlo Boreal is the authoritative figure at the Magisterium.
James Cosmo plays as Farder Coram, an elderly Gyptian.
Anne-Marie Duff plays as Ma Costa, a Gyptian woman.
Lin-Manuel Miranda plays Lin-Manuel Miranda.

According to Digitalspy, BBC and HBO’s collaborative efforts have had mixed ratings, but a second season has already been filmed.
Although the exact release date for the show has not been set, various online reports have claimed that the show will be released towards the end of 2020, like the first season it may be released in November.
