Ian McElhinney is a Northern Irish actor and a director has spent more than three decades appearing in many TV series and is mostly known for his role Barristan Selmy in the HBO’s hit fantasy series, Game of Thrones. He is also popular for his appearances in the British-Irish crime drama The Fall and Derry Girls. Currently, the veteran actor is married to Marie Jones, a Belfast-based actress.
McElhinney was born on August 19, 1948, in Belfast, Northern Ireland under the birth sign of Leo. She holds an Irish nationality and belongs to Caucasian ethnicity.
