Joel Kinnaman, 40, is a Swedish-American actor, most famous as Takeshi Kovacs from the first season of the cyberpunk series, Altered Carbon, and as Rick Flag in the 2016 superhero movie, Suicide Squad. 

Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, on 25 November 1979, the 6' 2 Swede became a major player of Swedish cinema and television before setting his sights on Hollywood.

7. Married and Divorced from Cleo Wattenström, Joel is Currently Dating Kelly Gale

Kinnaman was in a relationship with the Swedish tattoo artist, Cleo Wattenström, since mid-2014. Joel mentioned his matrimony to Cleo in an interview with James Corden in 2016. He said that their nuptial ceremony had taken place sometime in 2015.

In 2018, they announced their separation and said that it was amicable. They remain friends to this day.

Prior to Cleo, Kinnaman dated the actress Olivia Munn.

Since his divorce, he was seen cozying up to the Swedish-Australian model, Kelly Gale, in early 2019.
