Three times Grammy Award winner John Frusciante or Trickfinger is an American musician and singer who is popular as the lead guitarist of Red Hot Chilli Peppers. He joined the band while he was 18 and had a series of episodes with heroin addiction owing to which he left the band in 1992 and rejoined in 1998. Frusciante again quit the band in 2009 and made his way back in December 2019.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of RHCP in 2012 but didn't attend the ceremony. Together with the band, he has released albums like Mother's Milk, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Californication, By the Way, and Stadium Arcadium.

His former wife Nicole filed for divorce on 8th May 2015 and on 3rd October 2015, it was announced that she was seeking $75,000 per month as a divorce settlement.
As per the court records, Turley was being paid $20,000 every month but to improve her standard of living she demanded more from her ex-spouse. In the court records, she had stated that her expenses were exceeding $30,000.
Frusciante retaliated to her demands saying that he refuses to pay her further and also declined to pay $2,600 a month for expenses and gifts for her brother.
However, on 19th October 2015, the verdict was passed in Turley's favor whereby Frusciante was made to pay $53,000 every month and also an additional $71,000 for legal expenses.
John first heard of Red Hot Chilli Peppers in 1984 when his guitarist instructor was auditioning for the band. He joined the band at the age of 18 after the death of the band's former guitarist Hillel Slovak and recorded the album Mother's Milk (1989) and Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991).
While touring with the band he became a drug junkie and was addicted to heroin owing to which he left the band and went on to record his two solo albums Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt and Smile from the Streets You Hold.
After five years of addiction, the musician decided to call it quits and on the advice of Bob Forrest he joined a rehabilitation center in 1998.
RHCP was on the verge of breaking up after firing their then guitarist Dave Navarro, that Anthony Kiedis and Flea decided to invite him back to the band. They then recorded the album Californication (1999).
John Frusciante again quit the band on 29th July but didn't go public about it until December.
However, on 15th December 2019, a major announcement was made by Red Hot Chilli Peppers when they announced on their Instagram page that their current guitarist Josh Klinghoffer was departing from the rock group and his place would be replaced by none other than John Frusciante.
