Justin Bieber Relationship History: From Roller-Coaster Romance With Selena Gomez To Marriage To Hailey Baldwin

Justin Bieber is the modern equivalent of a James Dean or an Elvis Presley in that he is a generational sex symbol that men want to be and women want to be with!  

It seems no one- not actresses, not Victoria's Secret models, not old, not young- NO ONE is immune to Justin Bieber's charms.

Throughout the years, million-dollar Canadian star Justin has rarely been seen without a beautiful woman in his arms. And while his philandering days are behind him, thanks- in no small part- to his wife Hailey Baldwin, his dating history is as long as it is impressive.  

We look through the years at the many (and trust us, there are many!) relationships (and rumored relationships) of the 25-year-old Canadian pop icon, Justin Bieber.      

Caitlin Beadles 

It is no surprise that Justin Bieber is a devout Christian- he has a tattoo of Jesus Christ on his leg, for God's sake!  

His faith yielded a good thing for Justin: he found his first love in church! Bieber had just moved to Atlanta in 2008 from Canada when his career began gaining traction. Being a pious follower of Christianity, Bieber attended the local church where he met and fell in love with Caitlin Beadles.   

Fame claimed another casualty when Justin's unprecedented rise to superstardom intimidated the small-town girl Beadles. They separated in 2009 when Justin's fame proved to be too much.

It is speculated that the song "Never Let You Go" from Justin's debut studio album, My World 2.0, is about Caitlin Beadles. 

Jasmine Villegas 

For a brief time, Justin dated his touring mate, Jasmine Villegas, for nine months from January to September 2010. Villegas was also one of the girls featured in Justin's "Baby" music video.  

About their relationship, Villegas said in an interview:

“It was like a little kid thing, it was like puppy love, if you could even call it that"

She also said that she wasn't without haters, especially considering how every teenage girl was clamoring to be the one to settle down with the pop star:

"I got a couple middle fingers in the crowds, a little bit. It comes from really anything when you’re in the eye and when you date somebody who’s a pop star."

Miranda Kerr (Rumor)

After the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, it was rumored that Justin had hooked up with model Miranda Kerr after a string of flirtatious texts. Besides the age difference, Kerr had also been married to actor Orlando Bloom which made the rumor particularly salacious. 

However, Kerr has since spoken out about her alleged affair and denied that it ever happened. 

Barbara Palvin (Rumor)

From one Victoria's Secret rumor to another, Justin must have had quite the night in 2012 when he was not linked with not one but two Victoria's Secret angels.  Apart from Miranda Kerr, Justin was also cozying up to model Barbara Palvin. The two also allegedly went on a date the following evening to a Broadway rendition of The Lion King. 

Palvin has also since come out and denied having a serious fling with the pop star.

Adriana Lima (Rumor)

May 2014 brought forth another rumor with another Victoria's Secret model for Justin, Adriana Lima. The two reportedly hooked up during a Cannes Film Festival after-party in the French Riviera. The rumors were exacerbated when Justin was spotted leaving the 1 Oak Club Goth with the model in his arms. 

Lima also went on record and denied the rumors.  

Jayde Pierce

Justin was first spotted out with Jayde Pierce in May 2015. Although both sides have kept mum about their relationships, it hasn't stopped the tabloids speculating. They were frequently photographed together.

Rumor is that the Grammy-nominated song, "Love Yourself", off of Bieber's fourth studio album, Purpose, was written about Jayde Pierce.

Kourtney Kardashian

It was late 2015 when Kourtney Kardashian was breaking up with her longtime-boyfriend, Scott Disick, she needed a shoulder to cry on, and some speculate that Justin Bieber's shoulder was the one she leaned on.

The rumor mills went to town on the propriety of the-then 36-year-old Kourtney being involved with the 21-year-old Justin Bieber.  

They were photographed, making the rounds of clubs throughout December 2015. Their supposed fling died as swiftly as it began, and no one but the two involved knows the true nature of their rumored relationship.   

Chantel Jeffries 

Justin had a casual relationship with model Chantel Jeffries from the beginning of 2014 to mid-2014. They were in the same car together when Justin was arrested for DUI. 

They were never serious about one another and broke up in April of 2014. In July 2016, they reportedly rekindled their romance when Jefferies was seen hanging out with Bieber after his Madison Square Garden concert. They also supposedly went to a private screening of the movie, The Secret Life of Pets.

Nicola Peltz

Justin and actress Nicola Peltz were supposedly playing house in the former's Beverly Hills mansion through June 2016. They had met at Justin's album release party in Toronto and were attracted to each other.

Sofia Richie

Justin made headlines in August 2016 when his relationship with Lionel Richie's daughter, Sofia Richie, was made public.   

They fanned the flames when they vacationed together in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for Richie's 18th birthday. Despite all signs pointing to their relationship being yielding something substantial, their love fizzled out, and by September, their love was but a distant memory. 

Paola Paulin

In September 2017, Bieber was spotted out with the Columbian model and actress Paola Paulin. They attended church together and were smitten with each other. According to Us Weekly, they went on a date at the Soho House in West Hollywood and were involved in public displays of affection.

Baskin Champion

Justin started a casual relationship with the model, Baskin Champion in March 2018. They never got serious about each other, and after dating casually for two months, they eventually broke up.     

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's relationship can be described as turbulent, at best.    

It seemed the two star-crossed lovers were destined for each other, but things have a weird way of working out. 

Gone are the puppy-dog days where they connected over pancakes at a Philly IHOP in late 2010. Gone are the days of private viewings of Titanic and diamond rings on Valentine's Day. 

Their star-crossed romance ended when they broke up for the first time in 2012 when Gomez could not make Justin stay faithful to her. They did reconcile in November 2017, much to the joy of fans. 

Gomez's parents weren't thrilled about the relationship, however, considering the pain Justin put Selena through. The rift between Justin and Selena's parents allegedly broke the two up for the second and the last time. 

Hailey Baldwin  

Hailey Baldwin has gone from a superfan to Mrs. Justin Bieber and maybe the one to finally tame Justin Bieber!

Hailey met Justin at a meet-and-greet in 2009 and was instantly smitten with the pop star. They stayed friends throughout, and Justin went to bat for their relationship, stating:

"People are crazy. I’m super single and this is my good friend u would know otherwise.”   

2016 proved to be a turning point for Hailey and Justin when their friendship turned romantic. They shared a steamy make-out post on Instagram to herald in the new year, and their relationship officially began. Bieber even foreshadowed their betrothal in a cover story for GQ magazine, saying:

“What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right?” 

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, however, they broke up in August that year. Hailey was candid about the first time their relationship ended in an interview with Elle, saying:

“There was a time when our lives seemed to be going in very different directions. I actually think—now that I look back at it being married—that it was a good thing for the two of us, very healthy.”

Second time's the charm as they rekindled their romance in June 2018. They shared their faith in God, and attended church together, and going on dates in the evening. 

On their romantic getaway in the Bahamas, Justin Bieber got down on one knee and asked the age-old question: "Will you marry me?"

Hailey accepted, and Baldwin's Instagram post confirming their engagement broke the internet.

"So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindly"- his caption read.  

Hailey herself tweeted:

“Not sure what I did in life to deserve such happiness but I am so utterly grateful to God for giving me such an incredible person to share my life with!”

They legally registered their marriage on September 13, 2018, in a New York courthouse. 

They had a wedding more befitting of their stature over a year later, on September 30, 2019. The ceremony was held in a 20,000-acre luxury resort in South Carolina, called the Montage Palmetto Bluff.

Justin reportedly dedicated his new album "Changes" to his lovely partner. The album is set to be released on 14 Feb 2020.  

Among the high-profile in-attendants were Scooter Braun, who discovered Justin and started the ball rolling on his meteoric rise to superstardom; and members of the Kardashian-Jenner family.
