Finn Tapp Wins Love Island Season 6 With Girlfriend Paige Turley- What You Should Know About Him

Finn Tapp joins the ranks of Love Island winners as the 20-year-old semi-pro footballer was crowned the co-winner of the sixth season of the reality show on February 23, 2020. He shares the crown and the £50k prize with his girlfriend, Paige Turley. 

Here are seven facts you should know about the man who bagged the grand prize of Love Island. 

7. He Is A Semi-Professional Footballer

Tapp started training to become a footballer at the young age of 8. He cut his teeth in the developmental squad of the Buckinghamshire-based football club, Milton Keynes Dons F.C.   

He went pro on 17 May 2018 when he signed a one-year contract with the club. He debuted for the club professionally on 28 August 2018 as a substitute, but after floundering, he was eventually let go by the club. 

He signed with the National League South club Oxford City on 19 July 2019.  

6. He Is Expected To Return To Oxford City

Finn garnered a fair amount of controversy for breach of contract when he signed on for Love Island while still under contract with his football club, Oxford City.

The club holds no ill-will towards Finn, as fresh off of being crowned the winner, Finn is expected to return as the defender for Oxford City.   

5. Winner Of The Sixth Season Of Love Island

Finn was a last-minute entrant in the first winter edition of Love Island. This time taking place in a villa in South Africa, the series aired in January 2020. 

Finn immediately left his mark when he began romancing the 22-year-old musician Paige Turley.

They were the first pair on the reality show to officially start dating. Their relationship also passed through the dreaded crucible of the Casa Amor, but their love triumphed in the end, and they beat out the other couples and were crowned the overall winner. 

4. He Plans To Marry His Girlfriend, Paige Turley

Fans got to witness Tapp and Turley's love blossom on Love Island; they were also the first to officially go public with their relationship. 

Paige, who formerly dated the musician Lewis Capaldi, has seemingly found her soulmate this time around, as sources are reporting that the two have even drawn up wedding plans.

Finn said of his plans to marry Paige,

"I’ve got an idea of how I would want to propose… I have thought about marriage with Paigey."

They also opted to share the  £50k prize, which Turley had originally won on the show. They have also planned to move to Manchester together. Paige said of their decision to move to Manchester,

"I totally love Scotland. I’ve never had a reason to move away from it. I think Glasgow might be a bit rough for Finn. They’d eat him alive! I think it would be a bit unfair of me to take him away from his comforts."

3. His Instagram Following Has Skyrocketed

Since his stint in Love Island, the 20-year old football prodigy has seen a massive uptake in his Instagram following. Already a prodigious footballer and a certified hunk, his popularity has blown through the roof since he made an appearance on Love Island. 

Currently, his Instagram @finley__tapp stands just shy of a million followers, at 978k.

2. Age And Height 

Finn Tapp was born Finley Tapp on November 9, 1999, making him 20 years old as of February 2020. His age was a concern when he was first introduced to Paige, who herself was 22 at the time, but not enough to matter.     

Finn also stands at a square 6 foot.
