After, the lecturer Milian served for the Dade Country State Attorney’s Office as an assistant state attorney. Then, she was appointed to work in the criminal division in Miami Circuit Court in 1999. Just before this, she contributed her life’s 5 years to the court in the Domestic Violence Court, Criminal, and Civil divisions. 

Later, in 2001, Marilyn tasted the fame after she became the first-ever Hispanic judge on the TV court show, The People’s  Court replacing Jerry Sheindlin. Since she appeared in the show, she has appreciated her interaction with the public much more than her predecessors. 

Furthermore, the next year, in 2002, The People’s Court star served as a judge for TV soap opera As the World Turns for 3 episodes. Also, she portrayed judge Alvarez on the American television sitcom George Lopez which is created by George Lopez, Bruce Helford, and Robert Borden.

Marilyn Milian was born on May 1, 1961, in Manhattan, New York City, United States. Her father, Jorge Milian, is a general conductor while the mother is Georgina Milian. She, along with her parents, shifted to Miami at the age of 8 and spent her childhood. 

Regarding her education, Marilyn attended St. Brendan High School. After high school graduation, from the University of Miami, she received her undergraduate degree in psychology. Later, she enrolled at the Georgetown University Law Center and earned J.D.

TV Star Marilyn Milian is married to a former assistant United States attorney John Schlesinger. The couple tied the knot in 1993, and since then, they are living a blissful life. 

Altogether, the duo shares 3 daughters. The pair’s first child, Cristina Schlesinger, was born in 1996. After two years in 1998, they were blessed with another baby girl, Alexandra Schlesinger. Finally, their family was completed after their third kid, Sofia Elena Schlesinger, who was born in 2001.
