Philip Andre Rourke Jr., also known as Mickey Rourke is a former American boxer, and actor & screenwriter at present, best known for his works in the movies; The Wrestler, Sin City, Angel Heart and Iron Man 2. In addition, he is also a multiple award winner who won Irish Film and Television Awards, Golden Globe Award and awards from Chicago Film Critics Association.
Mickey Rourke was born on September 16, 1952, in Schenectady, New York, United States. He is the son of father Philip Andre Rourke and mother Annette Cameron. As for his siblings, he has a brother; Joey Rourke and sister; Patricia Rourke.
Rourke is a descent of Scottish and Irish ancestry and so, he belongs to multiracial ethnicity. When he was six, his parents divorced and he moved to Miami with his mother and her second husband Eugene Addis.
As for his academic qualifications, Mickey completed his high school from Miami Beach Senior High School in 1971.
