Modern Family Star Ariel Winter’s Breast Reduction Surgery:When And Why Did She Go Under The Knife?

Child actors often struggle with the constant attention and massive fortune that comes with being a star, especially when you are one of the main characters on one of the biggest sitcoms on TV, Modern Family.       

Ariel Winter comes from a very rough background with an estranged mother who made her feel isolated throughout her childhood. She struggled with her abusive and controlling momager.                         

Winter’s upbringing was full of a lot of dark moments, and even when she became a star on Modern Family, her past would not let her go, and she would constantly be the center of one controversy or another.   

Then, she had to deal with the infamy of having size 32F when she was just 14 years old. The star dealt with a lot of criticism for something that was not under her control.

Talking about the size of a 14-year-old girl’s breasts is always in bad taste, and it has a lot of ill effects on the immature victim.   

Winter’s breast size was 32F when she was just a teenager and media as well as fans talked about it enough to emotionally scar the child actor.  

According to Ariel, her breasts developed overnight, 

I remember being in my sister's wedding and being so flat and thinking, I just wish I would grow boobs!' and then overnight I did. But then they kept growing and growing and growing and it didn't seem like they were going to stop.

In addition to the emotional and mental pain, her breasts would also cause her a lot of physical pain. She also said that she would often hunch over on set because of the pain. 

Breast Reduction Surgery     

Media giant Glamour asked Ariel when she decided to have breast reduction surgery, she answered by saying that she decided that she would undergo the procedure after going to a swimsuit store with her cousin and feeling bad about finding nothing to wear.   

After dealing with bad attention, physical pain, emotional pain, and perverts for months on end, Ariel Winter finally underwent breast reduction surgery on June 4, 2015. 

She kept the procedure a secret from the public, only revealing it to select family and friends. Her breasts were reduced from size 32F to a 34D after the surgery.   

The actress revealed that she was incredibly satisfied with the results of the surgery and felt like a new person.
