Best known for his appearance in the television series Duck Dynasty, Phil Robertson is an American professional hunter, reality star, and businessman. He is also known for appearing in the Duck Commander.
Robertson invented his own duck call and founded the Duck Commander Company. He appears in the show alongside his wife Kay and others.

Following his college graduation, Phil worked as a teacher for several years before becoming a commercial fisherman. He also ran a bar in 1975.
During the early-70s, Phil began inventing duck call that would produce the exact sound of a duck. He invented his first fuck call in 1972 and received a patent for his call. He then founded a brand of duck call called Duck Commander the same year.
He began manufacturing various calls and duck-hunting merchandise as well as deer-hunting merchandise under the Buck Commander brand.
Phil serves as the founder and president of the company, whereas, his sons Willie serves as the CEO, Jase as COO, and Kay as the vice president.
From 2012 to 2017, the Robertson family appeared on the A&E reality series Duck Dynasty which covered their daily lives within the Duck Commander.
He also appeared in the feature film Torchbearer where he talks about the absurdity of life without God. Likewise in October 2017, he joined CRTV as a contributor and hosted In the Woods with Phil.
On 18th December 2013, A&E announced Phil’s suspension from the network following an interview with Drew Magary of GQ. During the interview, when asked about what is sinful to him, Phil stated:
“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”
He also added, “Don't be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right.”
In response to his former comments, A&E releases a statement from Phil saying,
“I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me".
Later that day, the network announced his suspension and was lifted before an episode was affected.
Phil Alexander Robertson was born on 24th April 1946 in Vivian, Louisiana, the United States of America to Merritt Hale and James Robertson. He is American by nationality and has white ethnic descent.
Following his high school graduation, Phil enrolled and graduated from Louisiana Tech University where he received his master’s degree in education.
During his college days, he played the first-string quarterback for the Bulldogs. He completed 179 of 411 passing attempts for 2,237 yards.
The 74-year-old hunter is married to his high-school sweetheart Marsha “Kay” Carroway. They began dating in 1964 while in high school and exchanged their wedding vows in 1966.
Together they share four children named Alan, Jules Jeptha, Jase, and Willie Robertson.
