7. Katherine is a huge fan of Superheroes movies
In an interview with L'Officiel Paris, Langford explained her love for Marvel movies citing ‘Black Panther’ as her favorite one.
Moreover, she pointed out that she never misses any Marvel movies, taking along her friends to enjoy the film.
6. She is a Singer and Songwriter
Katherine began attending voice lessons in 2005, receiving vocal training for three different genres: classical, jazz, and contemporary.
She did not let her singing talent go in vain as she uploaded songs titled “I’ve Got a Crush on Zoe Bosch,” “Young & Stupid,” and “3 Words” on her YouTube account in 2013.
As a matter of fact, she wrote and sang these songs, one titled “Young & Stupid” written as an ode to three teens who committed suicide. These teens were from Perth, Australia, her hometown.
13 Reasons Why star has expressed her desire to write songs in the future too, though she is not sure about releasing it (We hope she does).
5. Katherine is not just an accomplished actress but an excellent swimmer too
Her talent is not just limited to acting. The actress was the sports captain and nationally ranked swimmer in the senior high years at Perth Modern School.

Love, Simon star received her acting training from coach Renato Fabretti who has also mentored Hiding series actress Olivia DeJonge and screen and stage actress Tahlia Norrish.
What’s interesting is that Olivia DeJonge landed in the role of Alice Burbage, the love interest of the main protagonist, for the historical drama TV series Will. Katherine had initially auditioned for the role.
3. Lady Gaga is her favorite musician
Back in 2012, Lady Gaga visited four cities of Australia to perform for her third concert tour ‘Born This Way Ball’ with Perth being one among the four cities.
16-years old Katherine attended the concert and became inspired to learn piano, the skill that can be seen in the music videos uploaded on YouTube.
2. She auditioned for the character of Hannah Baker for 13 Reasons Why series via Skype
The perks of the internet came handy to Katherine when she gave the audition for the role of Hannah Baker, a fictional character from the novel Thirteen Reasons Why, written by author Jay Asher adapted into a Netflix series with the same title.
Eventually, she received the role and was given ten days to appear on the set. The Australian native applied for a 0-1 visa since she had never worked in America before.
She made use of her ten days researching the details of her role. Consequently, she did full justice to the character of Hannah.
The series also stars Christian Navarro, Dylan Minnette, Brandon Flynn, Justin Prentice, Ross Butler, Alisha Boe, and a few others in the lead.
1. Josephine Langford is Katherine's sister
The Australian actress Josephine Langford starred as Tessa Young in a romantic drama movie 'After,' earning a Teen Choice Award for the category of Choice Drama Movie Actress.
It became widely speculated that Josephine was Katherine's next of kin. The speculation went as far as saying that both were in a feud.
