After Life actress Ashley Jensen 3-decade long career has made her a well-known name among fans of TV and film alike. Equally famous for her narrating as she is for acting, the actress first stepped into showbiz in 1990 and has since worked on shows like Agatha Raisin, Ugly Betty, among others.

In 2005 she joined the cast of Extras and was nominated for multiple awards, including a BAFTA and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie.

Ashley Jensen was born on 11 August 1969 in Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland to Ivar Jensen and Margaret Jensen. She was interested in acting from a very early age. According to her, she grew up in a farming community in Scotland so it was hard for her to fit in.

Ashley Jensen married Terence Beesley on January 29, 2007 after meeting him for the first time back in 1999. They had a son named Francis Jonathan Beesley who was born on 20 October 2009.

On November 30, 2017, Terence was found dead in his car at his home, although the cause of his death wasn’t immediately established, authorities later concluded that he took his own life and died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

She later sold the house in which he killed himself 2018.
