A few years ago I had a mole on the back of my calf, and my husband was adamant that I get it checked. In Australia, they're very aware of skin cancer. I finally went and it was skin cancer. I had quite the chunk taken out of my leg.
You wouldn't know it by her present lifestyle and her advocacy for healthy living and working out, but at one point, Michelle used to be a chain-smoker.
She admitted in an interview that she smoked compulsively for 10 years. After her scare with skin cancer, she had an epiphany. Facing her mortality, she was forced to take account of her life and change her ways. She admitted in an interview:
"I smoked for almost 10 years. I really regret that. Thankfully, I came out on the other side. I hope my lungs are repairing themselves now."
Michelle plays homemaker to Australian graphic artist Peter White. They were acquainted at a party in 2000. They struck up a romance and were together for five years before exchanging rings in May 2005.
Michelle walked down the aisle in August later that year and was pronounced the wife of Peter. They were blessed with two children: a daughter named Willow Katherine White born on November 5, 2008, and a son named Tommy Francis White on October 30, 2013.
