Along with notable film and television credits, Guthrie has been equally active as a stage actor. After playing the title role in the production of Peter Pan in 2010, Kevin appeared in Macbeth alongside James McAvoy.
Currently, he portrays one of the main characters in Netflix's historical sports drama television miniseries The English Game. Here are seven facts to know about Kevin Guthrie.
Kevin was born and raised in Neilston, located in East Renfrewshire in the west-central Lowlands of Scotland.
Born on March 21, 1988, Gutherie is 32 years old as of 2020. He attended St Luke's High School in the Auchenback area of Barrhead, East Renfrewshire.

The 32 years old actor is the youngest of three children. As a child, he was a bit bashful and was sent to PACE Youth Theatre, along with two elder sisters, to become more socially confident. With The Herald, he exclaimed,
“In all honestly, my parents thought it would be a good idea because I was painfully shy as a kid and struggled a little bit with group scenarios. I think mum and dad recognised that I needed to get a bit of confidence"
He loved the theatre scene and eventually started winning small roles in television and movie. Guthrie then enrolled at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and graduated with a BA in Acting in 2011.
Gutherie co-starred in 2016 British film Whisky Galore! alongside James Cosmo and Gregor Fisher.
While both Fisher and Gutherie hail from Neilston in Renfrewshire, Gutherie bond with Fisher goes back to his nursery school days. In an interview with The Scotsman, Guthrie stated,
“When I was younger I went to nursery with Gregor’s son and although my parents were aware of it at the time, being huge Rab C. Nesbitt fans, it kind of went under my radar. But making Whisky Galore!, we spoke very fondly about the place and there was a synergy about us from the connection, an appreciation for the same little postcode we grew up in.”
Guthrie appeared as series regular in season one of Terri McIntyre, followed by a small role in BBC miniseries The Key.
Two years later, in 2005, Guthrie guest-appeared in Scottish sitcom, Still Game. Then 17 years old, Kevin played as Thomas, who was introduced as the grandson of Winston Ingram, played by Scottish actor Paul Riley.
