David Wenham is 5 feet and 10 inches tall (1.78 m). He is currently 54 years old, having been born on September 21, 1965.

6. Is the Youngest Among His Siblings

David is Australian and spent his formative years in Marrickville, New South Wales. His parents, Kath Wenham and Bill Wenham have seven children, including David.

He has five older sisters: Helen Wenham, Anne Wenham, Carmel Wenham, Kathryn Wenham, and Maree Wenham and a older brother, Peter Wenham

David, nicknamed Daisy while his sisters called him Dais/Daze, grew up in the Roman Catholic faith. 

5. Has Been Voted as Australia's Sexiest Man Alive

Wenham received national recognition with his role in the Australian television series SeaChange. He played as Daniel Della Bosca, more specifically Diver Dan, in season one and two of the show. 

The character made him the nation heartthrob, and since then, he has become a sort of a sex symbol. Wenham even went on to earn Australia's sexiest man alive tag. However, the 54 years old actor has always been modest of winning such a title. In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, David stated, 

"It is laughable. Anyone who knows me would say the same. I am not that sex-symbol guy.”

4. Was the Narrator of Deadliest Warrior

David Wenham narrated the television program, Deadliest Warrior, under the pseudonym Drew Skye. The show would provide information about historical or modern warriors and compare the weapons used by them, classifying them under "deadliest" based on a test done during each episode.

In addition to the program, the 54 years old actor also narrated the video game 300: March to Glory. The game is based on Frank Miller's comic book 300 and the movie of the same name. David happens to be the main cast of the film playing as Dilios in both 300 and the sequel, 300: Rise of an Empire.

3. Was Cast in Lord of the Rings Because of His Resemblance To Sean Bean

Wenham played as Faramir in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. He appeared in two of the Lord of the Rings films: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Interestingly, his resemblance to the English actor Sean Bean, especially their nose features, aided in the decision for casting directors to approach Wenham for the role. Bean played as the on-screen brother of David in the movie.

Remember we talked about Wenham's charismatic personality that made him Australia's sexiest man alive? Well, it seems like the perks of being alluring came into play when he met dancer-turned-yoga-teacher Kate Agnew back in the 1990s. The couple has been together since 1994, for 25 years now; however, they are not officially married.

Wenham and Agnew have two children: Eliza Jane Wenham, born on October 10, 2002, and Millie Wenham, born in November 2008.
