Daniel Peter Webber is best known for his performance in Netflix's biopic The Dirt. Besides, he has also worked in numerous shows, most notably in K-9, 11.22.63, and Home and Away.
Webber recently appeared in Marvel Comics-based Netflix original series The Punisher.
Born on June 28, 1988, Webber is currently 31 years old. He stands 5 feet and 8½ inches tall (1.74 m).
Webber was born and raised in the city of Gosford, New South Wales, Australia. He attended Green Point Christian College, located in Green Point, New South Wales.
Daniel's mother, Vick Webber, and father, Peter Webber, ran a Tree Removal company for 20 years. He is the middle child and has an older sister, Kylie Webber, and a younger sister, Sarah Webber.
Daniel's penchant for being a professional trampolinist started when he was about ten years old. In an interview with the Anthem magazine, Webber stated,
"We just had a backyard trampoline, and I used to flip around and have a good ol’ time. I was an energetic kid. My parents started talking about how I should maybe learn to do it properly, so I ended up getting coaching. I did that until I was 18 or so. "
At the age of 12, he performed for the Summer Olympics closing ceremony, further stating,
"It’s very much on the cusp of committing to something that doesn’t give you financial support....It’s an interesting little world in itself. Trampolining is an Olympic sport as of 2000."
The 31 years old actor was once a rope access technician on wind turbines. While the job had its perks of letting one see the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the drawback included,
"Getting up very early in the morning in the freezing cold, climbing up a 150-meter tower carrying 15 kilos of gear, and spending most of your day looking up and down at the world. There are cables holding you up at the very top and you’re on this skinny little beanpole of a tower getting blasted by the wind."
Webber says the job involves everything one can’t do from a scaffold, scissor-lift, or something else and requires hugely different applications when one is on oil rigs and inside mines, for example.
The 31 years old has been the talk of the town ever since he appeared as the lead singer, Vince Neil, of the notoriously controversial glam metal band Mötley Crüe, in the biopic The Dirt.
While other cast members had the first-hand experience in music as Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon, who got into songwriting and singing since the age of 16. And Colson Baker, collectively known as Machine Gun Kelly, who is a rapper and singer-songwriter.
Nevertheless, all of the lead actors underwent a crash course in music and performance, as per Thrillist. The director, Jeff Tremaine, exclaimed, "It was a month and a half of really intense training every day. Not just learning the instruments, but working with a choreographer on moving like the band members."
Webber training and determination paid off, earning well-deserved praise from the band's founder and bassist Nikki Sixx.
“Me and Tommy are just sitting in these two chairs. Daniel was singing right in front of us. Tommy and me looked at each other; we are like, ‘He is Vince.'" Sixx told Rolling Stone.
It seems as though the 31 years old actor is currently single. He is extremely reticent about his persoanl life. Nevertheless, he is unmarried and appears pretty much focused on his career.
Webber was introduced as the secondary antagonist in the first season of Netflix's The Punisher, a spin-off of Marvel's Daredevil.
His character, Lewis Wilson, is seen as a United States Army veteran who has PTSD and a hard time adjusting to civilian society. Wilson later becomes a terrorist following a failed attempt to overcome his PTSD.
The show also features actors Jon Bernthal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, Paul Schulze, Jason R. Moore, Michael Nathanson, Jaime Ray Newman, Deborah Ann Woll, Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, and Giorgia Whigham in a prominent role.
