Airport Authorities Of Fresno Yosemite International Fired Employees For Making A Tik Tok Video While On Duty
Fresno Yosemite International Airport fired employees after they made a TikTok video outside their leisure hours.
The video showed them dancing around the airport on various locations like the baggage conveyor belt and in front of an airplane. The video went viral after it circulated on Twitter.
They recorded the video when they had only 30 minutes left on their shifts. Dannon Kredo who was one of the employees on the video stated
"The plane for the day was already done, all the luggage was taken care of, all of our duties were done, so we decided to make a little video,
Adding
We heard from our bosses after our video hit about like 300,000 views, and so we had got the attention of a lot of people apparently, and I guess that they didn’t like that,
An official statement from the airport was also released in which representatives of the airport authority said
In the video, the employees’ inappropriate behavior in the work environment displays poor judgment and does not reflect the conduct expected of individuals working at FAT,
The company employing these individuals has taken corrective action concerning the parties involved, as well as instructed the removal of the unauthorized video from social media. FAT is working with the company to retrain its staff on appropriate behavior and to prevent these types of events in the future.
Some members of the general public have criticized the airport’s decision and have declared their support for the now terminated employees.
