    Married Life With Wife Melinda Rose Trenchard

    Jones' professional life saw several ups and downs throughout his six-decade-long career and so did his personal life. Yet, the singer remained married to his wife Melinda Rose Trenchard a.k.a. Linda for nearly six decades until her death in 2016.

    Jones and Linda were childhood friends who started dating at 14. After two years, he tied the knot with Linda on March 2, 1957, at the age of 16. The lovebirds, who were married at their teens, was blessed with a son, Mark Woodward, whom they welcomed in 1957.

    As Jones started gaining success as a singer, the couple's married life gradually started turning cold. Jones started hanging out with a number of girls while Linda lived in their LA mansion caring for their child.

    In a chat with Wales Online in 2009, Jones admitted to sleeping with up to 250 different girls a year at the height of his womanizing. Once, after reading one of his infidelities in a newspaper, his wife Linda kicked and punched him. Speaking in an interview on American television, Tom said,

    Meanwhile, one of Mr. Jones' affairs resulted in the birth of a son. He had a brief relationship with model Katherine Berkery. He initially denied being the father of the child, however, in 1989, the United States court ruled him the boy's father following the DNA testing.

    Tom Jones was born Thomas John Woodward to Thomas Woodward and Freda Jones on 7th June 1940 in Treforest, Pontypridd, Glamorgan, Wales. His father (died 1981) was a coal miner.     At the age of 12, he suffered from tuberculosis and spent around two years in bed recovering. Later, he described the moment as the worst time of his life when he could do nothing more than listen to music and draw.

    He was interested in singing from his early childhood days when he used to sing at family gatherings, weddings, and in his school choir.

    Meanwhile, Jones was only 16 when he got married and the same was his wife. They were also expecting their first child at the time of their marriage. To support his family, Jones started working in a local glove factory and later worked in construction.
