Billie Eilish is one of the youngest yet most popular artists in the world who has broken the record for most simultaneous US hot 100 entries. It is hard to believe that she released her debut album in March 2019.
Her 14 songs that entered into the US Hot 100 made her a household name, and her immensely popular songs, as well as quirky and lovable persona, have made her one of the best-loved artists in the world, especially among the youth.
Eilish’s talents also won her five awards at the Grammys. She was the big winner and swept awards in almost all categories.
It may not come as a surprise to many of Eilish’s fans that she won this many awards, but to the rest, it was a shock that such a young person won all these awards.
The star started writing music when she was just 11 years old and had already made a name for herself prior to releasing her first album.
She had been nominated in 6 categories, out of which she won 5 awards. She took home the award in Best Album, Best Song, Best New Artist, Best Record, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Out of these awards, the first four are considered the “big four” awards of the event.
Billie beat out artists like Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey to win the Album Of The Year award. Similarly, Eilish beat Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Lewis Capaldi, among others, to win Song Of The Year.
Best New Artist went to her after she beat the likes of Black Pumas, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, etc. Billie went on to win Best Pop Solo Performance after beating Beyoncé.
The cherry on top of all this was her Best Pop Vocal Album win once again, beating out Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift.
